Three days from today we'll board a plane and make our way to Sub-Saharan Africa, where we will be living for almost a year. How can we prepare for such an adventure? The last week or so has been a confused stumbling affair, but we finally got our four suitcases packed today. Strange that our pick-up truck picked today to start leaking brake fluid, so hopefully we will get that fixed up tomorrow morning, and then we'll be off to get the last of our vaccinations.
The main reason for this post is to let you know that I'll be attempting to share snippets of our travels with you via this means. I am aiming for pretty simple postings to let you know where we are, what we are doing, and show you a few photos of the things we are experiencing.
We leave Buffalo on Sunday at about 1PM and arrive in Johannesburg Monday afternoon after a change in Atlanta. We'll spend the night in Johannesburg and then catch a short flight to Gaborone the next day. I hope by the end of the week we will have new cell phones and will have been able to access the Internet and thus will give you and update on our travels and contact information.
'Till then, take care dear friends and family, as we miss you all!
Priscilla and Jon
